For the past 20 years, Elissa R. Brewster’s practice has primarily focused on advising senior executives in the healthcare industry on risks and compliance with federal and state laws, while simultaneously managing the day-to-day legal operations of their organizations. She has collaborated with various companies and individuals to enhance technology, revenue, and operations for healthcare organizations—dedicating her time to reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
As a highly accomplished attorney, Elissa R. Brewster’s experience includes providing counsel to a variety of organizations based in the Houston area. Most recently, she supported Acclara Solutions/Tegria RCM as their Corporate Attorney, Christus Health TLRA as Legal Counsel and Privacy Officer, and Downhole Technology as a Contracts Manager.
She received her Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 2001, her Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2011, and a Graduate Certificate in Health and Hospital Law from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2016.
Elissa recently served as a panelist at the Texas Health Care Transactions Conference in October 2022 and was a finalist for Houston Business Journal’s “Outstanding Solo General Counsel” in 2012, where she was honored for her innovation and ability to collaborate across many lines of business.

Having graduated from Texas A&M School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property, Myah focuses her practice on assisting business owners, entrepreneurs, and healthcare professionals with a wide range of legal matters. She is adept at providing guidance regarding entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance guidance, and trademark and copyright matters.
At Brewster, Myah and Elissa work closely to craft effective strategies, draft and review agreements, and provide clear, solutions-driven guidance to best support all clients. She is recognized for her attention to detail, strong client communication, and practical approach to problem-solving.
